Whole Foods Weekly Ad Match-ups 10/12-10/18
October 12, 2011
Important notes about Whole Foods:
- These prices are based on the Jacksonville, FL store. Sale items, prices and even the weekly sale dates vary regionally. You might find these sales in other regions, and other Florida stores are more likely to have the same sales, but I can’t be certain.
- You can find your weekly sales ad here, but there are also MANY unadvertised deals in the store.
- Many of their sale prices last for two weeks. So, if you miss something one week, you might still be in luck the next week.
- Most, but not all Whole Foods stores, will allow “stacking” one manufacturer’s coupon AND one store coupon per item. The Jacksonville store does allow this! Check with you store’s customer service desk if you live in another area.
- Whole Foods’ store coupons can be found online here or in “Whole Deal” booklets in stores. TIP: The coupons expire one month after they are no longer available online, so print a few extra copies to use throughout next month too! These are also handy if your local Publix store accepts Whole Foods competitor coupons.
- Bring your own reusable bags for .10 off your total (per bag used), or donate that amount to their Whole Planet Foundation.
- If any of the terms used below don’t make sense to you, check out my post about understanding coupon lingo.
- If any math doesn’t make sense or any links don’t work, please let me know so I can fix it.

Hi! Thanks for the match-ups to Whole Foods! I went in yesterday to get the deal on the Zevia and it went through fine but afterwards when the cashier was handing me my receipt, he said that technically he wan’t allowed to use 4 coupons on the 4 that I bought because 2 of them were free with the BOGO deal…. I just said “Thank you and I didn’t know bc Publix allows1 Manufacturer’s coupon per item regarless of the sale”.. I also asked if they had a coupon policy that I could follow so that it didn’t happen again and he said “No, but that will be changing very soon ..” HOPEFULLY this means, Whole Foods is in the midst of preparing an official coupon policy but it was still a bit discouraging :-/ DId you get this deal? And if so, did you have any problems?
Thanks!
Hi Brenda, thanks for your comment. Were you shopping at the Jax store or another FL store? I was able to use two coupons on a BOGO deal here in Jax before (this transaction: http://cillasdeals.wordpress.com/2011/07/10/my-whole-foods-trip-and-a-mini-matchup/) with no problems but haven’t bought one of their BOGO deals in a while so perhaps that is a recent change. I’m sure I asked beforehand that time but since they don’t have a set policy it’s likely that you’ll get different answers at different times and from different people, which is obviously confusing. I tend to do a shopping trip there about once a month and the last few times I wasn’t getting any of the BOGO deals. The funny thing is that they will still get reimbursed for all four coupons from the manufacturer, plus a handling fee, so it’s actually in their interest to accept coupons on the free items in BOGO deals, since I believe the store if the party that is offering the “free” promotion and not the manufacturer. I’ll be sure to post any policy changes if/when they release a formal policy. I’ll make a note in future BOGO match-ups that using coupons on the free items in a BOGO deal is a “maybe” depending on the store and to check in advance. Thanks again for letting me know and I’m so glad you are benefitting from Cilla’s Deals.
